Species Mitigation Plans

What is a Species Mitigation Plan?

Where projects are likely to impact upon protected / notable species, mitigation measures will be required to prevent significant impacts occurring.

These plans are generally a requirement of the application process for licensing including European Protected Species EPS including bats, otter, water vole and beaver.

Our surveys generate comprehensive data which is used to inform the licence application, and we will help you design a mitigation plan that will help you obtain a licence Successfully.

When can a species mitigation plan take place?

Species protection plans can be undertaken at any time of the year. However, the baseline data for the protection plan may need to be gathered during a certain period of the year, depending on the species and/or data required.

R & D Ecology can advise you to any time constraints in terms of gathering baseline data for each species.
